RE: Myrtle May Russell and Samuel James Russell

CHATTEL MORTGAGE SEIZURE

COMMISSIONER OF AGRICULTURAL LOANS,
East Block, Parliament Buildings,
TORONTO, Ontario.

This is the Inventory of Chattels seized under the Authority of the Warrant hereto annexed.

I, J. Frank Bullis (Bailiff) as and for the Commissioner of Agricultural Loans, by virtue and in pursuance of the Warrant hereto annexed, have seized the following goods and chattels, stock, cattle and crops situate upon these lands in the Township of Cramahe in the County (District) of Northumberland described in the chattel mortgage filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Court of the County of Northumberland as number 6072, that is to say:-

1 bay horse, 14 yrs.
1 bay horse [?] 4 yrs.
5 grade Jersey cows from 5 yrs. To 11 yrs.
3 “ “ heifer coming 2 yrs.
4 “ “ “ “ 1 yr.
1 walking plow – M.H.
1 scuffler M. H.
1 set (3 section) harrows.
1 combination spring tooth cultivator + seeder
1 set shibbogan[?[ sleigh
1 wagon + hay rack, grant boxes[?]
1 [?] (Deering) – 1 hay rake
1 binder, Deering.
1 [?]separator, Melotto.[?]
Approx. 75 bus. of mixed grain
Approx. 150 bus. of buckwheat oats (un-husked)
Approx. 10 tons hay
Approx. 150 bags potatoes
About 1 ½ acre fodder crop[?]

TO J. FRANK BULLIS, Bailiff of the Commissioner of Agricultural Loans in this behalf.

SEIZE AND TAKE POSSESSION of the goods and chattels described in a certain chattel mortgage made by Myrtle May Russell, wife of Samuel James Russell of the Township of Cramahe in the County of Northumberland, and the said Samuel James Russell, Farmer, to the Agricultural Development Board, dated the 24th day of January, 1933, which is hereunto annexed.

YOU MAY GIVE UP POSSESSION of the said goods and chattels on payment of the sum of $2747.43 and your own proper fees and charges and for your so doing this shall be your sufficient warrant and authority.

AND by Order made upon the 22nd day of August, 1935, by the Honourable the Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of Ontario in Council, the assets of the Agricultural Development Board were vested in the Commissioner of Agricultural Loans.

WITNESS the hand and Corporate seal of the Commissioner of Agriculture. Loans this 20th day of September, 1939.
