In making notes for the Tripp Family History I am just staying with the straight line of my husband's family ancestors. In at least two cases there was a second marriage and if possible I have put down the information I was able to find.
This work is being done for our two sons and their families. In obtaining some of this information I had the help of our friend Archie Birney. He was searching for his own family roots and wherever he found the name "Tripp" he put down the dates and passed them on to me.
I trust that this information will give you a sense of satisfaction in knowing a little about your roots and I trust that at least one in the family might carry it on.

Church on June 27, 1824.
Daniel Tripp and two brothers came to Cobourg from Holland via
Pennsylvania, U.S.A. - (United Empire Loyalists) about 1820
and started a Hub Factory. The two brothers (names not known)
left and Daniel moved to Eddystone.
