Agreement between Robert Waldie and Harrison George

Memorandum of Agreement had this 28 day of March ad 1920 Between Robert Waldie of the Township of Haldimand county of Northumberland, Farmer, Father of the widow of the late Ora Brown and Harrison George, Farmer of the same place. Robert Waldie agrees to furnish Harrison George with a lease for a time of five years ending in the year 1925; for the sum of Four Hundred dollars to be paid at tow dates first- Dec. 1st, second Mar. 1st each year until al of the ten payments are paid. Also agrees to give him immediate passage for family purposes immediately after the sale which is to be held on April 6th 1920. Telephone, gass engine, Hay fork, equipment to be left on premises. Also agrees to pay for & build and new fences & new buildings that may be erected on premises or shingling that may have to be done.
Harrison George agrees to pay to the administrator of the Estate of the late Ora Brown the sum of Four Hundred Dollars each year to be paid in two equal payments of two hundred each of two dates. First Dec 1st, second Mar 1st until all of the ten payments are made
Agrees to keep fences other than new ones in repair to give them in as good condition as they are now
Agrees to keep building from leaking by patching shingles furnished (?) to be kept in repairs stalls and (?) and loom to be kept in good repair.
Agrees pumps to be kept in repairs other than new ones
Agrees all straw to be fed or consumed on the premises. Hay not needed for feed may be sold.
Agrees twenty acres to be seeded each and every year, Keeping an average of forty acres under seed
Fifty acres to be left ploughed concluding years of lease or paid for as the parties may agree.
Agrees taxes to be paid each and every year
House to be occupied by leaser twelve months in every year leaving it in good condition
Agrees to allow administrator the possession of west half of house for six months ending Oct 1st 1920, also free passage to and from the dwelling hence.

In writing it is under stood that George Milne, Farmer, is a partner of Harrison George, share and share alike

All fences other than new to be left in repairs
To keep building from leaking by patching
Owner furnishing material
And any other repairs such as doors, pumps, and any other small repairs to be kept in order
All straw to be consumed on premises
Twenty acres to be seeded each year
Keeping al all 40 acres under seeds
50 acres to be left ploughed
Taxes to be paid each and every year
Any new pumps or gates furnished by
H. George may be taken away by him at
End of term

Memorandum of Agreement
Made this 23 day of March 1938 between Ethel Brown of the Township of Haldimand county of Northumberland widow of the late Ora Brown
And
Harrison George of the same place. Mrs. Brown agrees to furnish Harrison George with a lease for a term of three years ending March 23 1938 for the sum of two hundred and twenty five dollars to be made in two payments one Dec 1st of $125.00 and second March 1st $100.00, each and every year until all of the payments are paid. Both parties agree that on giving of three months notice and paying for extra Ploughing and fall grain that this property being compared monthly of lot 19 in the 9th con. May be sold if so desired. Telephone, gass engine, hay fork, equipment to be left on premises
All new material for reapiring building and fencing to be supplied by owners. Harrison George agrees to make all of the payments as specified. Last payment to be made (?)property.
