Harry Campbell, General Chairman of the local Counties Plowing Committee, tendered thanks last Thursday to all Chairmen who worker co-operatively this year in planning for the plowing match this week.
"Canadian hospitality is the equal of any in this world," said Mr. Campbell, "we have been doing our part in the great work of goodwill among nations to beat swords into plowshares!"
"This is my own, my native land . . .", the chairman quoted. "It has been my great pri- vilege to be your Chairman. I have found that the work has been made much easier by your help, the meetings have been a pleasure to con- duct."
Mayor Burnet complimented the General Chairman. Said he: “Mr. Campbell was the ideal person for this Civic duty. I would call him, Harry, the Peacemaker, who always could bring harmony out of possible chaos. His leadership was inspired."
H. A. Quinn, 1st. Vice- president of the O.P.A. gave his summation:
"This has been a wonderful meeting. The co-operation here has been an inspiration to me to enjoy. Your ground plans have been well made. I have never seen the equal of this meeting."
