Cobourg library will have a new librarian effective August 1.

Mrs. Wendy Binns a recent graduate from Wayne State University with a Master of Library Science, was chosen by a committee of the library board from 17 applications made. The salary per year is $8,500.

Mrs. Binns will move to Cobourg with her four-year-old son later this summer. She has had considerable practical experience in her field of work.

Dr. John Leeson, chairman of the board, said the qualifications of people who applied for the position were very high. He noted that there were more qualified people now than several years ago.

Mrs. Frances Marsh, chief librarian at the library for three years will resign, effective July 31.
