A new librarian for the Cobourg Public Library has been chosen. She will take up her duties, replacing librarian Wendy Brown, on September 7.
Judy Ettinger of Hamilton will come to Cobourg after serving as head of branches at Hamilton Regional Library. Before that, Miss Ettinger was chief librarian at Waterloo Regional Library.
Miss Ettinger was among 30 applicants to seek the Cobourg position. Four of the applicants were interviewed by the library board last week. No local people applied for the job which demands a masters degree in library science.
