- Description
- The water slide in the background was a much-loved feature with children hurtling down a wooden slide in a toboggan on wheels. The slide stretched out over the water and into the harbour. It was in the area between the east pier and where the beach ended and was run by the Lavis family who had fishing boats and a fish house on the east pier.
