The use of Cobourg's armourial bearings will be carefully scrutinized.
A local jeweller had asked to be able to use them for jewellery and his ss request has been referred to a special committee of town council which reviews each request for use of the bearings.
Reeve Wib Thomas C pointed out that the value of cufflinks or brooches with the bearings on them which are given out as an honor, would lose their value if the bearings could be reproduced without reservations.
"The committee should study it and handle it one occurrence at a time," said the Reeve.
