BATES, Hector Archibald - Peacefully at
Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on
March 7, 2007. Hector in his 91st year was
a W.W.II veteran of the Toronto - Scottish
regimen and a retired letter carrier from the
Toronto Postal Service. Beloved husband of
Jacqueline Bates. Cherished father of
Barbara Spiess and the late Louise Prosser.
Loving grandfather of Gregory and Scott
Prosser & Cameron and Sarah Spiess. Dear
great grandfather of Nicole, Avery, and
Cameron Jr. Dearest brother of Donald,
George, William and Jenny McCracken, all
predeceased. Hector will be deeply missed
by his loving nieces and nephews and many
friends. A visitation will be held at
MacCOUBREY FUNERAL HOME, 30 King
St. E, Cobourg on Sunday March 11, 2007
from 2 - 4 p.m. Cremation is to take place.
Private family graveside service will take
place at Cobourg Union Cemetery at a later
date. Memorial donations can be made by
cheque to the Northumberland Hills Hospital
or a charity of your choice. Condolences
