AUGER, Kenneth Charles - Passed away
with hi s f a m i l y by h i s side a t
Northumberland H i l l s Hospital on
Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the age
of 48 years. Ken was well known to the
Bowmanville Community as owner of the
Pizza Wagon. It was there that he met and
fell in love with his life partner and best
friend, Pat Pentland. Pat’s son, Daniel,
became very dear to Ken and he was so
proud to become a grandfather to Tyson
almost 4 years ago. While in Bowmanville,
Ken was an active member of the Knights of
Columbus at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic
Church and is a Past Grand Knight. Ken
found a job he loved and formed lifelong
friendships when he joined Dom’s Auto
Parts. Another great passion was Ken’s love
for animals, large and small. He was
involved in and supported all aspects of
nurturing and rearing the Altair Chinese
Crested purebred show dogs. The
generosity and caring that endeared Ken to
so many was returned tenfold during his
time of need. Every act of kindness,
support and caring that Ken received during
his illness was treasured by him and helped
ease the journey. The family wishes to
express gratitude for the love and prayers
that were sent his way. Ken leaves behind
his wife, Pat Pentland and son Daniel
(Laura). He was predeceased by his mother
Eleanor (nee Crowe) and is survived by his
father, Victor Francis and his wife, Lois. Ken
will also be greatly missed by his brother,
Michael (Brigitte) and sisters, Anne (Todd),
Michelle (Martin), Teresa (Paul) and
brother-in-law, Fred. Ken was well loved by
his grandson, Tyson and his 11 nieces and
nephews. Friends may pay their respect at
