Description
Visitor comment submitted (May 2020): "Margaret Cochrane standing 5th from left side (last girl standing) I believe her senior year 1948."

Visitor comment submitted (August 2020): "I am holding the board in the front row. It was 1948 and I was 15. My father was the United Church minister. We left Colborne in 1949. I recall all the faces and many of their names. Back row standing is Ronald Pogue next to him is Grant Yarrow and 2nd for right back row standing is Jim Blackhall. Second row standing is Mr. Davis, Maths teacher and next to him is the English teacher. Man standing middle of the row is I think Fred Troop. Next to him is Fraser Keating and at the row end is Jim Bowen. Next row sitting at left end is Jean Hay and 3rd right is Shirley Irvine. Right end is Betty Cook. To the right of me is Paul Hart. I am now 87 and have lived in London UK for many years."

Visitor comment submitted (October 2020): "My father William Bruce "Ron" Pogue is 1st on the left in the back row, as mentioned by Donald Campbell."

Visitor comment submitted (March 2021): R1 John Macmillan? Jack Rutherford? Donald Campbell, Paul Hart, Beverley Davis
R2 Jean Hay, Shirley Mutton, Shirley Irvine, Eileen Diamond, Barbara Gifford, Helen Parish, Beverley Wilson, Betty Cook
R3 Mr Davis, Miss Metzler, teacher, Audrey White, Joan Miles, Margaret Cochrane, Fred Troop, Fraser Keating, Jim Bowen, X from Castleton
R4 Ronald Pogue, Grant Yarrow, Harvey Thompson, Stanley Blogett, Ross Keating, Jim Blackhall, Walter Rutherford

I am not certain of the names of first two in row 1 and do not remember the name of the last one in row 3 from the Castleton Continuation School.

Visitor comment submitted (March 2021): Correction to my recent comments. The name should be Aileen Diamond, not Eileen. Also I am not sure the teacher's name was Miss Metzler. Perhaps it was Miss Meade.
