- On the back of the photograph: Occupied by James Monroe Merriman & his wife, Maria Livingston 1846-183 Ella Jane Merriman born in this house 1847. Picture taken c.1930. Taken by Uncle Jack in late 30s. This was on the next lot east of House #70 & was torn down in the late 30s, I think. Had been located just east of 174 King St. East, Colborne, Ont. #-06-72-00
