- A researcher provided the following comment (April 2014): A little research..... The banner above the persons, magnified slightly reads "Local Aluminium ? ", maybe Assoc. This photo possibly could be a Cobourg, Ontario business, as the area was a strong steel base in the late 1940's and on. The Aluminium Workers of America merged with USWA (Unitedsteel Workers of America), and Canada workers of that industry merged with the USWA in 1945. One of the gentlemen is sitting on a "company" safe. Date: mid 1940's or early 1950 clue: clothing
