This image was published in How Firm a Foundation: A History of the Township of Cramahe and the Village of Colborne in Cramahe's Digital Archives (3bk), p.86 - the caption reads: "Charles Smith Rutherford, VC, presents his own World War I-era portrait to the Legion that bears his name. Colborne's Legion's Bernard Fox, left, receives presentation while John Weir Foote, VC, for whom the Grafton Legion is named, looks on. The Legion is the Charles S. Rutherford branch." See pp.84-86 for a reference to Charles Rutherford and pp.88-89 for a reference to Bernard Fox. Pages 29-31 of this publication for an essay entitled: "Charles Rutherford: VC, MC, MM "By Masterly Bluff"."
