My partner had purchased this home without knowing the history of its origin. It is a great emotion to experience living in a home that bears historical value to the area. There seems to be a small area of the house inside a closet under a stairwell where I believe possibly some of the original flooring exists. There's also an extensive area (approx. 12-15 feet) that was closed off and is inaccessible.(Why that was done, I will never know).
This is so amazing to see. My Great great Grandfather owned this store for years before heading t Australia and his son came to Thunder Bay. I’d love to visit here someday.
