- Rowsome's Bakery by Harold Harnden - "I remember the bakery on the south side of the street, 3 doors east of the Bristol (Queens) Hotel. A friend of our family work there weekends. Her name was Gladys Miller, a student at Colborne High School. Rowsomes bought the business from Mr. Hodgens, 1915-1925. Hodgens had owned a baker in "The County" prior to coming to Colborne."

- Harold Harnden - "I recall Rowsomes bakery as a small child. The delivery wagon and truck must have been used for delivering bread and other baked goods to the surrounding community. They later ran a grocery store and ended up in clothing. The picture with the family sitting and standing by the truck is Everet and Mrs. Rowsome with Charles."

I have never seen this photo before.Grandma and Grandpa looked the same years later ... my grandmother always working, usually in the kitchen baking. Very interesting to see a much earlier version of them." - Date of Original
