Scope and Content

Fonds consists of records relating to the McTavish and Campbell family of Haldimand and Cramahe Townships, Northumberland County, Ontario. Records include deeds and documents concerning land owned by Maria and Donald McTavish, Mary Emily Isabella McTavish, Donald Campbell and Archibald Campbell (likely Donald's brother). There is also some correspondence, newspaper clippings, and an autograph album owned by Olivia Dewey, who appears to have been a friend of the McTavish family.

There are 260 photographs in the fonds, mostly of family members. Many of these were sent to Maria Louisa Beeston (née McTavish) and Mary Emily Isabella McTavish. There are also photographs of HBC posts at Rupert's House, Norway House, Ile à-la-Crosse, Souris River and Moose Factory.

The fonds also contains a map showing four parcels of land owned by the McTavish family.
