Richards, Chairman of the Northumberland Eighth Victory Loan campaign, states that the organization work for the Eighth Victory Loan campaign is now completed and that all salesmen have been selected. A list of the salesmen for each community in Northumberland is set forth below. In this campaign there are new names in the county organization but it is noticed that practically those who have been active in Victory Loan work over the past seven loans are doing their important work again. Northumberland has subscribed for $10,300,000 in Seven Victory Loans, and the result of this Eighth Loan is expected to put the county well over the $12,000,000 mark. Be prepared to give your order to the salesman when he calls, or any bank in Northumberland, The bankers urge people to buy bonds and point out that in subscribing, people are actually lendirig their money--which they will get back with interest. Many veteran Victory Loan sales-en are included in the list of canvassers for each of the fourteen districts in the county. The list follows : Cobourg-- $435,000 Salesmen--L. A. Anderson D. F. USED WASHING MACHINES Used domestic washing machines have been brought under specific price ceilings by a new order recently announced by the W.P.T.B. The order sets ceilings for sales by private individuals and dealers in the same levels and will eliminate some confusion which formerly existed in the determination of the proper ceiling price for a used machine. Two sets of ceilings are established by the order. The higher ceiling is established for machines which have been rebuilt, and the maximum prices according to make, model, year of manufacture, are set forth in the price schedule attached to the order, as specific dollar ceilings. Among the prices listed in the schedule are $45.00 ceiling for vacum type washer with a 22 inch copper tub and $125.00 for spinner washer with copper or porcelain tub. Save all your waste paper!
