Mrs. Bruebaker, of Guelph, has returned to her home there after spending the past week with Mrs. Hinman. Mrs. Vincent McCauley and daughters, Joan and Irene, of Frankford. were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Montgomery during the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Chatten, Carolyn and Arlis, and Miss Muriel Walker spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Chatten, Hilton. Mr. and Mrs. George Sprung and son, of Toronto, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Lome McDonald. Mr. and Mrs. Hare, of Oshawa visited Mrs. Edward Hinman during the past week. Mr. David Lloyd, recently returned from overseas, Mrs. Lloyd and son Douglas of Brighton, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peddlesden, of Hilton, and Miss Freda Peddlesden, of Cobourg, visited Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Peddlesden during the past week. A sad death occurred near Wark-worth Monday night, when Mrs. Wartman (nee Campbell) age 32 years, died twenty minutes after being stung by a bee. Congratulations to Flt.-Sgt. and Mrs. Jack Mutton who were married on Saturday, August 18th, in St. John's Anglican Church, Toronto. Mr, and Mrs. W. W. Mutton and Miss Rena Mutton attended the wedding. Last Friday evening a number of friends and relatives of the bride and groom met at the home of Mr. Hugh Mutton and Miss Nellie Mutton where a pleasant evening was spent in games and later a presentation was made to them of a writing desk and chair, also a pair of wall brackets.
