Mrs. John Outbbert and Mrs. George Cuthbert are visiting friends in the United States. Mrs. Whi. Matthews has returned to her home, aftetr spending the winter in Toronto. The closing meeting of the Y.P.S. of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church was held in the basement of the Church on Monday evening, May 2nd. The meeting was in charge of the Social Convener, Miss Ruth Calberry. A miscellaneous shower was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Warner on Thursday evening, April 28th, for the newly-weds, Mr. and Mrs. George Bishop. They received many nice useful gifts. The sympathy of the community is extended to the family of the late Mrs. I. Williams, who passed away at the home of her daughtetr, Mrs. Nelson Fish, on Saturday, April 30th. 1938. Mrs. Williams was a highly respected resident of our vicinity. Interment was in Lakeport Cemetery.
