Legume Seed Inoculation Pays Results of experiments conducted at the Ontario Agricultural College, Guelph, show that legume seeds treated with Nitro-culture produce larger crops particularly in Red Clover and Alfalfa. This is further substantiated by farmers themselves. During the past 10 years 27,750 farmers reported back to the college on the use of Nitro-culture and of this number 80% reported increased yieds. Fresh cultures are prepared each year at the College and dstributed through the Agricutural Representatives offices at cost. Nitro-cultures may be secured from A. H. Martin, Agricultural Representative, Brighton, for the following crops: Alfalfa, Red Clover, Alsike, Sweet Clover, Sweet Peas, Field Beans and Soy Beans. The treatment is very simple. Mix the intro-culture with a little skim milk or whey and stir thoroughly into a bushel of seed, as soon as- the seed is dry it may he sown. 13.00 1.00 1.00 14.00 Stocks of Potatoes Farm stocks of potatoes in Canada at March 31st, 1938, have been estimated to amount to 13. 878,000 cwtt., as compared with 10,482,000 cwt. a year ago, an increase of almost 3,-400 cwt. This increase is well distributed over the provinces of New Brunswick. Quebec. Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia, w-here the il937 production was greater than in 1936.
