For the protection of the crowds who attend gatherings in Eden Church Hall a fire escape has been built by the handy men of the neighbourhood in their spare hours; also other improvements and repairs of Church property have been finished. On Friday evening the Y. P. U. had a "ibee" and in a short time the grounds surrounding the Eden Church were raked and thoroughly cleaned, and after the bonfire, the girls served a lunch of sandwiches, cake and coffee, to the boys and young men who are always ready and willing to assist in anything for the benefit of the Church. The patriotic people of Dundonald are looking forward with great interest to the Coronation Service next Sunday morning in Eden United Church, to be conducted by the Pastor, Rev. A. Armstrong. It is expected many will be present and enjoy this, programme so unusual, patriotic and solemn. On account of these services Mothers' Day will be celebrated one week later.
