December 27th, 1926, passed off harmoniously, there being no criticism of the financial statement. The veteran municipal man, Mr. Robert Snetsing-er, the retiring Reeve, definitely announced his intention of not being a candidate for re-election. For practically every year of the last twenty-five years, Mr. Snetsinger has been a member of the Council, many times holding the position of Reeve, and was honoured wth the position of Warden of the United Counties in 1912. The electors have always felt TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE There was an election for Reeve and Councillors in Cramahe Township, the Deputy Reeve being elected by acclamation. Mr. S. A. Clark, who has held the position for five years, was re-elected by a majority of 89 over L. C. Murphy, who was'Deputy Reeve for several years. The by-law providing for abolition of statute labor in the Township was defeated by a large majority. Frederick C. B. Greer, died at his home in Ottawa on Sunday, Jan. 2nd, 1926. He had been in ill health! for some time. His niece, Mrs. Fred Armstrong of East Colbome, went to Ottawa to attend the funeral! which was held on Wednesday. His successor in the Reeve; the result of the polling on Monday, January 3rd, 1927, is Mr. Sam. ~ Dudley, who is getting into the veteran class in municipal affairs, although yet a comparatively young man. Mr. Dudley has been in the municipal arena off and on for the P£ot seventeen years and was Reeve several times. He has always evinced a keen interest in village and counties' affairs. As for the new Councillors elected, Messrs. Ira Edwards and E. E. Mallory have had previous experience, Mr. Walter Cowie has been two years on the Board of Education, while Mr. James M.
