Our local cheesefactory began its summer operations on Monday, under the direction of our cheesemaker, Mr. Andrew Kemp. Dr. Crichton, Mrs. J. Miller and Mrs. William Tait visited Miss A. Crichton at Cobourg Hospital on Saturday and report her not any better. Mrs. Wm. Covert was elected President of the W. I. at the May meeting, and a committee was appointed to look after improvements on the Our Young People's League Friday night at 8.00, in charge of our 3rd Vice-Pres., Mr. Andrew Kemp, special "Empire Night" programme. Everyone invited. Mrs. Perry of Toronto Spent a few days with Miss M. Richards and Mrs. Pettibone. We are sorry to report Mrs. Pettibone confined to the house with rheumatism. Edward Mutton, who lately bought Mr. Henry Purdy's farm at Dundonald, received a visitation from 51 of his father's relatives living around there, in the form of a surprise party on Friday last. They came unexpectedly and brought their own refreshments and a photographer, who took a picture of the party and premises.
