Mrs. Earl Templeton and two small sons of Marion, Iowa, Miss Stella Nichols of Sandwich, and Mrs. Crap-pie of Cleveland, Ohio, were recent guests of Mr. and--Mrs. Ross Wright. Mrs. Miller of Regina, Sask., who was delegate to the Librarian's convention in Toronto and has remained there since, busy in research work, has been guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mutton. Miss Mabel Miller, B.A., of the staff of Regina University, and sister, Mrs. Huldah Miller, motored from Regina to join their mother Toronto. Miss Miller was taken very ill on her arrival at Mr. Harry Mutton's and was rushed to Belleville Hospital, where she underwent serious operation. She is reported since doing fairly well we are pleased to hear. MORGANSTON Mr. Cecil McMann is visiting his mother and other relatives here. The farmers are improving the dry weather finishing up the hay crop. Miss Elizabeth VanBlaricom of White Plains is home for her holidays. •Mr. Edward Denike of Trenton spent Monday, August 1st, at Morganston, Rev. J. Beck ell, who is away On his holidays, returned on Monday to preach the funeral sermon of Mr. Geo. Callaghan. Major Belford preached to the Orange Society at Castleton and visiting brethren. A good many from Morganston attended. Rev. Mr. Edwards occupied the pulpit in the United Church on Sunday afternoon, Rev. J. E. Beckel being absent on his holidays. A sad drowning accident occurred i Friday evening, when a few of our Morganston boys were in bathing. All 3re unable to swim. One of their imber, Mr. George Callaghan ventured out in deep water and was drowned before assistance arrived. SHILOH (Last week) 'Mr. and Mrs. B. LOST EDVILLE August 1, 1927 Mr. and Mrs. Harry Farrow of Bowmanville spent the weekend of July 23rd with Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Farrow and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Walker. Mrs. M. S. Gould, who is at present staying with her daughter, Mrs. Farrow, went to Campbellford on Saturday to attend the funeral of the late Mrs. Addie McDonald. Mr. Wallace Onyon last week lost three cows, two of them being valuable pure-breds, caused by their get-ing into a field and eating where potatoes had been sprayed with po' tc kill bugs. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Spafford and Mr. and Mrs. Cy. Spafford of Brighton visited recently at the home of their sister, Mrs. G. A. McDonald. Mr. Geo.
