We are not dealing with the association in the United States, but rather some things that have transpired since some of our organizers came to Canada. Beginn-" % with the extreme east, an organ-ition was set up in Halifax, N. S., an independent body, «,.o. disgust-with the original Ku Klux Klan the United States, established headquarters at Muncie, Indiana, and set few local bodies in this country. They have ceased to exist and united "" another organization that has red the largest membership in Canada. Ontario was more highly favored. This new organization became known is the "Ku Klux Klan of Kanada" nd later absorbed the Halifax group and the New Brunswick group. k. third American organizer came the Niagara Peninsula and set up small organizaztions, and also in Es-County some work was accomplished there. Then in British Columbia another jntleman came from the U.S.A. and built up quite a large organization, but he has since returned to his native country and a strictly Canadian order known as "The Invisible Empire Canadian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan" has replaced it. They have written their own rituals for four orders, have also written their constitution, and have accomplished wonderful work in the western provinces of Canada. iBut the institution which has assumed the largest proportions in Eastern Canada is the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan of Kanada, and il is of the work of this organization to which we shall largely confine our statements. This latter organization began to grow rapidly, .until branches were established in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba, the western provinces being left to the Canadian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Three independent groups in Toronto, and one independent group in Hamilton were started with little success, so in the east the Ku Klux Klan of Kanada practically controlled the membership, while in the west the Canadian Knights of the Ku Klux Klatt held sway. These two bodies are now negotiating and making arrangements to amalgamate the two forces --that will mean a stronger element for British solidity and unity, and will unite to help in bringi people the need of Anglo-Sa: In December. 1926, it was decided to hold a national convention at that meeting held in the Cii Toronto on January 17th and 1927, the first audit was subni to the delegates for discussior Canadians have always desire function in the open and do bus in a business like manner, audit statement was adopted plans made to furnish a fina statement each month. The national convention elected from its ranks fifteen men who act as an imperial board, and they all Canadians, and the organization is 100 per cent British, and ~ Protestant ministers were elected to the imperial board--in fact, the head of our organization is an outstanding Protestant clergyman. We are, therefore, a great British Canadian, patriotic, fraternal ganization in which persons resident within the Empire may be taught the significance and essential value of being loyal citizens thereto; in which members may fraternize in an atmosphere of pure British patriotism, and under a common oath and strict regulations will be bound into a common brotherhood for the noble purpose of cultivating genuine loyalty to the Dominion of Canada and the institutions of the British Empire, her Dominions and Colonies, and of keeping the Empire secure from foreign tyranny and internal reason; an order which, while ad-ocating justice to all people, is nevertheless pledged to maintain the supremacy of the white race, by keeping its blood pure and not mon-grelizing the race. Our doctrine is to let the black marry the black, the Chinaman to marry the Chinese, etc., but let the white man find his consignation of happiness with -the white woman. We do not aim to injure anybody, but in saving the white race we save the world. W.i believe in the rights of Gentiles am the integrity of the Protestant faith we aim to shield the sanctity of the home, and the chastity of wor hood; to uphold law and order; insist on the complete separation of Church and State; to exemplify practical benevolence, and practice honourable clannishness among members and through the medium of,a ritual, the basis of which found in the teachings of the Holy Bible, to inculate a high si philosophy. Every Klansman must accept as his criterion of character Jesus Christ, and as He would do no injury to any person so every Klans-must show the utmost spirit of kindness to everybody. We have anti-policies--we have a positive pregramme, viz., to honour the Union Jack as the flag of the Empire: to perpetuate a united British Empire; the Protestant Church: to promote the Public School; to shield the sanctity of the home; to pro-note Gentile economic betterment; o advocate White Supremacy and acial purity; to promote law and >rder. The principles upon which the order is founded are taken from the Twelfth Chapter of Romans. It not claimed or intended that the Clan be a church, or that it take the place of a church, but is is intended that the Clan shall be a powerful adjunct to the Protestant Church. No man can be a good Clansman and not be a better citizen and a more consistent Christian by the expert- Better Gasoline in Five Ways A LL you seek in a super gasoline is attainable at a Cities Service station. CITIES SERVICE OILS "ONCE -- ALWAYS" CITIES SERVICE GASOLINE The importation of fresh peaches and peach nursery stock into the Province of Ontario is prohibited from all States in the United States of America east of the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers. This regulation was passed in order to prevent the further importation of the Oriental peach moth on shipments of fresh peaches and peach nursery stock, and the disease kn as peach yellows which has not been discovered in the provinc British Columbia. ' the moving principles af^j^f the Ku Klux Klan. The Flag, the '"P British North America Act, and the Holy Bible are the keystone of Clan principles. The Clan stands for law der, freedom of speech, freedom of press, and freedom of cc for the free public school separation of church and state, white supremacy and Protestant Christianity. It is the sworn duty of a clansman to uphold the law, and assist the regularly constituted authorities at all times in the discharge of their legal duties. To protect the home, the chastity of womanhood, and to emplify a pure patriotism toward our glorious country. Clansmen are opposed to all ner of mobs and mob violence in every form to the destruction of public and private property. Clansmen contend that all disputes between citizens, which cannot be adjusted by the parties directly interested, should be and must be, settled through the regular established courts of the country. Clansmen are opposed to Bolshevism. Sovietism, Anarchism, Com-and every other "ism" or that has for its object' the overthrow of the government of Can-la or the Empire. Clansmen contend and defy any an to disprove their contention that the Protestant Christian citi-of this country have as much right to organize an all-Protestant society as the Roman Catholics and Jews have to organize their all-Catholic and all-Jewish societies. Clansmen are not against the Roman Catholics or against the Jews, but are for the Protestant Christianity first last and all the time. . The Clan has no fight to make upon any man because of his race, place of birth, religion, or political affiliations. Great Britain guarantees the right to every man to worship God according to the dictates of his own conscience, and the Clan stands eternally upon that constitution. We shall then aim to cultivate brotherly kindness among men, protect the weak, assist the needy, and preserve the ideals and government of Canada. In this year, when we shall celebrate the years that Canada has remained in the Confederation, we shall continue, not by compulsion, but by our deliberate choice. We shall continue loyal, not to England alone, but to the great British Commonwealth of which both Canada and England are memb-"We trust that this commemora tion will lend added inspiration to the patriotic fervor of our people, and afford a clearer vision of our inspirations and ideals, to the end that from there may be developed a robust Canadian spirit, and in all things Canadian, profounder national unity."
