Mr. Claude Goodrich and the Misses Effie and Mabel Goodrich, also their cousins, Mr. Fred Goodrich and Miss Cora Goodrich of Castleton, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Goodrich and Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich of Marmora over Sunday last. Miss Beatrice McDonald, Toronto, who has been spending her holidays here, returned on Sunday accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry McDonald, and also Mr. and Mrs. S. Puffer, who returned the same night. The ever popular Cramahe School Fair, which was held at Dundonald centre of the Township) on Tuesday, September 13th, 1927, was largely attended and everyone from the tiny tot, eating ice cream and candies, the white haired grandparents, e in a happy mood. The fair young teachers anxiously hovered near their active pupils. The parade was watched "by the delighted crowd, while the :iewest feature, rendering first-aid, was most interesting. The exhibits ivere pronounced wonderful, and the i-aces of all kinds were entered into with much zest, and caused much amusement. The weather, though threatning at first, was later all that could, be desired. The Ladies' Aid did a rushing business all day, and at eventide the crowds journeyed homeward, tired but happy. SHILOH Miss Myrtle Vanslyke, Cobourg, spent a few days last week with her Mr. Hugh Mutton, Mir. and Mrs. Harold Mutton spent a day at Picton Fair last week. )Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mutton and family were, recent guests of Mr. and Mrs, Joe Mutton, Hilton. -. and Mrs. G. Mr. Williams, a return-missionary of Formosa. Mr. Carson Inglis and mother of Castleton, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Inglis of Syracuse, N.Y., called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wim. McDonald on Wednesday. A large number from here attended the School Fair at Dundonald on Tuesday, Sept. 13th, 1927. The Shiloh School won $21.50 in prize money. Shiloh school only has eleven pupils. Mr. Harry Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Willi Graham, Miss Alice Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne McDonald and Miss Muriel McDonald attended Toronto exhibition. Mrs. G. A. McDonald had the misfortune to fall down stairs and break some ribs. However, she was very fortunate in one way because a light-•<1 lamp which she was carrying at the time went-out when she slipped. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Hinman and [r. and Mrs. M. L. Drinkwalter ;otored to Belleville on Sunday to visit Miss Marie Drinkwalter, nurse-in-training in Belleville General Hospital, who has been very ill there, threatened with typhoid fever follow-an operation for appendicitis. They found her gaining nicely and hope she may soon be able to come home for a rest. MORGANSTON Miss Mildred Massey has purchased i new Ford coupe. Mrs. Eri Campbell is suffering from felon on her thumb. Our school opened on Tuesday, Sept. 6, with Miss Bessie Carr as teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Darling, Mr. and Mrs. Lew Lawson attended the Fair at Picton. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Martin from Perry, N.Y., visited friends around Morganston last week. The Morganston Union Sunday School expect to practice for "Rally Day" on Saturday, Sept. 17th. Miss Stella Massey is home from Miuskoka for a short visit before returning to Kingston to attend the University. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Darling of Boston, Mass., and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. The Young People's League are planning to re-open for fall and winter activities by means of an Ice Cream Social they are having in the basement of the Church on Friday ing, Sept. 23rd. Plan to come. Our school was not as fortunate as usual in prize winning, hut did their work well under the direction of Miss Purdy and Mr. Clarke. CHANGE OF BUSINESS The business carried on for the past year under the name of Wong's Cafe has been purchased by the Lee Company. All persons having accounts against Wong's Cafe are requested to have them in before Oct. 1st, 1927. After that date the new management will not be responsible for any debts against that firm.
