A very pleasant and profitable evening was spent at the last regular meeting of Colborne Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, being the occasion of the annual inspection by representatives of the Grand Chapter of. Ontario. The officers on this visit were Sister Laura E. Moore of Windsor, Ontario, Worthy Grand Matron, and Sister Jessie Dudley of Colborne, District Deputy Grand Matron. Both received a hearty fraternal welcome. The degrees were exemplified' by the Worthy Matron, Sister Mary A. Snetsinger, and the Worthy Patron, Brother Harry P. Moore, and other officers of the Chapter in a capable The Worthy Grand Matron, Sister Moore, delivered an interesting address, and congratulated the officers and members on the success of Colborne Chapter, in which she stated she felt a peculiar interest, having Grand Secretary at that time handled the application and other papers in connection with the institution of the Chapter, thus becoming familiar with the names of many of the officers and members. The District Grand Matron, Sister Dudley expressed her appreciation of the Grand Matron's visit at this time, and also her pleasure in paying her official visit to her mother Chapter, in which she has always taken an active interest and hopes to continue. Brief speeches were made by Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Barlow ofj Belleville, and Mrs. Russell of Ameliasburg, all F.W.Ms; Mrs. Gooding, W.M. of Ameliasburg: Mrs. Barlow W.M. of Trenton Chapter; Mr. Gooding and Mr. Russell, P.W.Ps. of Ameliasburg. and Capt. A: G Willoughby and A. G. Cracknell, P.W.Ps. of Colborne. In behalf of the Chapter, Sister Ruby Fleming, Associate Matron, sented to the Worthy Grand Mai an handsome silver steak platter, Sister Jennie Chapin presented D.D.G.W.M. an Eastern Star eml ring, as mementos of their Cclborne Chapter. The distingui visitors expressed their thanks for' gifts and grateful appreciation kindly sentiments conveyed by sisters making the presentations. At the close of the Chapter, happy hour was spent in music and dancing. ROYAL ARCH MASONS On Tuesday evening, December 6th, 1927, an interesting convocation was held by Excelsior Chapter, No. 45, R.A.M., Colborne, when an official visit was paid by the Grand Superintendent for this, Ontario District No. 10.
