Under auspices of the Mission Circle of the Methodist Church, a very interesHutr address was given by Mrs. Sinclair, a delegate from the Berkley St. Methodist Church, Toronto, to the World's Sunday School Convention at Tokyo, Japan. Mrs. Anderson, widow of the late James Anderson, and an old and esteemed resident, passed away at her home in Haldimand Tp., on Fridiy, Oct. 14th, 1921. Mrs. Anderson's Tnnirien name was Esther Jane Wil-nother being the daughter nd Mrs. Hellenbolt, who ; the early settlers of this he first married a Mr. a-:ter -lis death was again Mr. James Anderson of Tp. who also predeceased .... Anderson had spent almost her entire life in Haldimand. She leaves a family of four children, Rozelle Winter and C. H. Winter, Haldimand; Mrs. John Brown, Toronto, and Mr. Geo. Anderson, Oshawa. Massey. of Toronto, is ■presenting a community hall to the pillage of Newcastle, which will be the finest in America. It is to have an auditorium that will seat 600 persons comfortably, council chamber, library and Masonic hall. Mr. Massey is giving the hall in memory of his father whose original foundry was in Newcastle. (Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Clapp of New Westminster!, B.C., who have been enjoying a three months' trip through different parts of Canada, renewing acquaintances and visiting old friends were last week the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Fulford, whom she had jjiot seen for over forty years. PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH Next Sabbath, November the sixth, Anniversary Services will be held in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Colborne. The Rev. S. W. Dyde, D.D., Principal of Queen's Theological College, Kingston, will preach both morning and evening. Dr. Dyde is a great favorite in Colborne, and doubtless large audiences will be present to hear this talented teacher and preacher. The Annual Thank-Offering will be taken at these Service's. There will be special music by the Choir, Mr. Pipher of the Presbyterian Church, Port Hope, a talented singer, will be present and sing both morning and evening. METHODIST CHURCH NOTES Next Sabbath morning the service will be unique because of the Quarterly Communion, Thanksgiving and Patriotic features, which combine in the one day. We urge parents especially to see that all members of their families are present. The Church will be decorated with the products of the forest and field. In the morning the pastor will speak on the theme, "The Enduring Christ". In the evening the Subject will he, "Good Old Thanksgiving Day". Everybody welcome. On Sunday, Nov. 13th, the Rev. The Ladies' Aid of Trinity Church will hold their annual bazaar and tea in the fire Hall, Colborne, on Thursday, Dec. 1st, 1921. The Ladies' Aid of the Methodist Church, Colborne, will hold their annual Bazaar and Chicken Pie Supper on Thursday, Dec. 8th. The ladies of the Colborne Baptist Church will hold a chicken pie supper in the basement of the church on Friday, Nov. 11th, 1921,--Armistice Day. The Chicken Pie Supper and Bazaar, under the auspices or the Willing Workers, of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14th, 1921. The U.F.W.O. is holding a sale'of home cooking in the Club Room, over Mr. Edwards' store, Colborne, on Saturday, Nov. 5th, 1921, including bread, buns, rolls, pies, fried cakes, etc. Lunch will also be served, commencing at 3 p.m. Everybody welcome.
