Peebles, 1st Vice-President, was in charge. During the business the Warkworth Fair project was discussed. The roll call, "An Outmoted Article", was well answered and each grandmother present stated some beneficial advancement during the past fifty years. An exhibit of old or unusual buttons was won by Mrs. C. Nelson. Mrs. J. Blakeley, convener, opened her program with singing from the song sheet. Mrs. R. Lauranson gave a splendid paper on the History of the Calendar. Mrs. D. R. Dingman Jr. gave a reading on Nellie McClung, whose husband was a son of a former Castleton Methodist Church minister. Mrs. Clarence Nelson gave a Grandmother's reading. Mrs. J. Wilson won a contest. A delicious lunch was served by the Refreshment Committee. The October meeting will ibe held at the home of the President, Mrs. W. J. Tait, with Mrs. D. R. Dingwall Jr. convener. LONGER SEASON FOR DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME Daylight Saving time will foe in effect in Colborne, in common with most Ontario communities, until midnight on Saturday, October 26th this year.
