Misses Jane and Ursula Roddy return ed home after spending a few days a the home of their sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrard Waters, Kingston. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Flanders were Krakenburg, Miss Merle Flanders, Mr. Gary Caldwell, all of Cobourg. On Thursday afternoon, January 8th. fifteen ladies met at the home of Mrs. E. Cherry and Miss Georgina Cole, Cam-bourne, was our guest. Miss Cole who spent four and a half years in Swaziland, South Africa, and who has been home on furlough, expects to return sometime during the month. This meeting was arranged to enquire how we might best help her n her work. She very kindly answered juestions concerning homes, schools, iress, surroundings, etc. A donation of money from the ladies present was given to Miss Cole. She thanked all sincerely for the thoughtful gift. A dainty lunch served and everyone wished our returning missionary God's blessing and a safe journey. Mr. James McKenzie spent the weekend at his home here. Mrs. E. Sharpe returned to her home in Cobourg after spending a couple of weeks at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Douglas May. Mr. Bill Joyce, Toronto, spent the week-end af^the home of their son, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Peebles, Georgetown. Mrs. Peebles remained for a few days. Frederick and Yvonne are the proud parents of a baby sister for Janet. Mr. and*" Mrs. Charles Archer and family visited at the home of his sister. Mr. and Mrs. R. Joyce on Sunday.
