At this meeting plans were made for a Turkey Supper to be held in March. (See Coming Events). Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Vanwicklin and Mrs. Roy Benedict visited Mr. Roy Benedict in Trenton Memorial Hospital on Wednesday afternoon and found him somewhat improved. The men and women of the neighbourhood have been busy this week painting the interior of the church. Lately with the installation of the new oil furnace and some inside repairs the church is undergoing a complete renovation. Brown's Corners Mr. and Mrs. Fred Metcalf of Cobourg, visited Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Metcalf on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Metcalf attended the grower's banquet at Grafton on Thursday evening. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. George Samis on the birth of a baby Mr. and Mrs. Jack Watson were in western Ontario for a few days the past week. Mr. Gordon Metcalf, Bruce Jack-in and Louis Vanwicklin attended the meeting of the telephone at Castleton on Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Earl McKenzie, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McKenzie were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Jackson. Mr. Jack Metcalf and friend from Guelph attended the Annual Ball at Kemptville, on Friday evening. Mr. Bruce Jackson was at County Lodge at Castleton on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Cochrane, Russell and Betty and Lloyd Stone attended the Vegetable Grower's Banquet at Grafton, Thursday night. The neighbourhood was saddened to hear of the death of Mrs. Ella McDonald on Sunday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Hoare. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved relatives. Mrs. John Cochrane and Betty and Mrs. Lome McDonald were at Belleville Tuesday afternoon and called on Mrs. Bud Walters. Misses Carolyn and Arlis Chatten attended 4-H Club meeting on Friday ght at the home of Mrs. Norman Chatten, Hilton.
