Ament is spending several weeks with her sister, Mrs. Blakelys, Toronto. Mrs. Ament was In hospital recently, undergoing an eye operation. Her many friends wish her a speedy recovery. Mrs. Isobel Puffer, Cobourg, spent a few days last week at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Edison. Mr. and Mrs. George Haywood and daughter, Karen Jo-Ann, Toronto, spent the week-end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Crawford. Mr. ,Jlm McKenzie, Toronto, spent the week-end at his home here. Mr. Frank Flanders visited Mrs. Flanders In Sidbrook Private Hospital, Sunday evening. Mrs. Frank McGlennon, Colborne, visited Mrs. H. Oke on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Peebles and Mrs. George Peebles visited Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Peebles, Mlllbrook, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marshall and daughter, Yoland, Cobourg, spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Irvine. Mr. Bill Joyce, Toronto, spent the week end with his parents Mr. and Mrs. R. Joyce. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cuthbert, Colborne, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Noel Maskery, Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Henry May and family visited at the home of his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis May, Castleton. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Anderson, Kingston, spent Sunday at the Home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Mr. and Mrs. John O'Rourke and family spent Sunday with her father, Mr. John Killen, Peterborough, and also visited her mother who is hospital there, ill with pneumonia. Mrs. Winnifred Robinson who has been visiting relatives in Peterborough, spent Sunday at her home here was accompanied by her father, Mr. T. H. Brooks, and sister, Mrs. Alex Tyres, and Mr. Tyres. Mrs. Robinson returned to Peterborough with them. We are pleased to know that Mrs. J. Woodruff who has been a patient in Branson Hosplal, North York, is now convalescing at tho k»m. of son, Mr. and Mrs. John Woodruff, Willowdale. Her many friends wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. T. Krakenburg, Cobourg, visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Flanders, on Sunday. Miss Rose Anne Roddy and friend, Miss Wendy Beachaump, Grafton, spent the week-end with Mr. Tom Hoddy in Guelph. Mr. Jack Orrock, 'VYillowdale, is spending a week's vacation with his father, Mr. David Orrock. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Colling, Robbi and Harold spent the week-end with relatives in Toronto. IILr. and Mrs. Verne Tapley and family visited at the home of her mother, Mrs. F. Greenwood and Mr. Greenwood, Cobourg, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cooney and family, Cobourg, visited Mrs. Harry Oke on Sunday. Sunday evening March 1st, the Commissioning Service was held for Miss Georgina Cole, Camborne, from Fellowship Baptist Church, Cobourg. This was a most Impressive service and at the conclusion, a coloured film was shown of China, Japan, Korea, Italy and many countries where the need for Missionaries is very great. Miss Cole, returning Missionary Swaziland, South Africa, expects to leave early in March. All good wishes from her many friends go with her. Mrs. I. Flanders, Mrs. E. Cherry, Mrs. McGlennon,. Colborne, and Mrs. H. Oke attended the service. Mrs. Ivan Flanders spent a couple of days last week at the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gardiner, Weston, and attended the Operetta Weston Collegiate, guest of her daughter, Miss Anita Flanders who has been attending Weston Collegiate since last September. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hall and family spent Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hie of Cobourg. Mrs. Wm. Taylor is spending a few days at the home of Mrs. Stewart Cox Colborne. Mrs. Mary O'Connor is visiting the home of her daughter Mr. and Mrs. George Reynolds, Scarboro. Mr. Gordon Honey attended The Ontario Good Roads Convention in the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, last Wednesday. We are sorry to report Mr. Arthur Barrett is in Cobourg Hospital.
