The neighbourhood is shocked at the sudden illness of little Victor Ferguson, who was taken to Cobourg General Hospitatl on Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ferguson and Eric are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Quinn, Cobourg, while their son is in hospital. Ronnie spent the weekend with them. Mr. and Mrs. John Dunk attended a birthday party for Mrs. Guy Dickens and Mr. Clare Campbell at the latter's home in Warkworth on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Mutton and Ross ■ and Mr. Gordon Mutton spent Satur-i day evening with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Mutton. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Purdy and family, Grafton, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Purdy. | Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dale and girls called in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Lyall McCullough! visited his mother who is a patient in Cobourg General Hospital following a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Clare Day and baby were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Darke. Mr. Bert Wilce, Oshawa, was home >for the week-end. Despite the bad weather the L.O.L. 620 held a very successful euchre in Shiloh School on Friday evening. Mrs. Winston Packard was the lucky winner of the bag of sugar. Several friends from Shiloh called at Cobourg General Hospital during the week-end. Farm Forum was held at the home of Mr. Alex McComb, Morganston, on Monday evening. Several ladies attended a quilting and pot luck dinner at the home of Miss Nellie Mutton on Wednesday. . Shiloh W.A. The regular meeting of Shiloh Women's Association was held on Wednesday, February 25th, in Shiloh School following the community dinner. The meeting was opened by the President, Mrs. Lawrence Mutton, the devotional period taken by Mrs. C. J. Mutton. Several items of business were discussed and it was decided to have a tea on June 3rd, at the home of the President, also to buy lilies for the church at Easter. The programme followed with a reading by Mrs. John Dunk, a poem -- "The Faithful Few" by Mrs. Lawrence Mutton and a descriptive account of ilfe in Florida by Mrs. C. J. Mutton. The Rev. J. Van Walsem closed the meeting with a prayer. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johnston and boys of Oshawa were week end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Art Johnston. Mr. and Mrs. Sid Matters of Toronto were Sunday visitors of Mr. J. C. Bowen and Mrs. Haynes. Mrs. F. Warner spent a couple of days this week in Trenton visiting Mr. and Mrs. R. Moffat. Miss Margie Chapman came home from Cobourg Hospital on Friday where she is recuperating from an injury from tobogan riding. Friends here were sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. John Pomeroy on Sunday at the home of her son Mr. Herb Pomeroy.
