F. W. Taylor Saturday, November 15th, 1958, when Gayle Marilyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Smith of Colborne became the bride of Mr. Gerald Arthur Henry Barrett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Barrett of Colborne. Given in marriage by her fath er. the bride wore a blue woo' dress with winter white and: black accessories and a corsage of pink roses. The attendants were Mrs. Mel ville McGee of Raglan, Ont. aunt of the bride and Mr. Glen Barrett, brother of the groom. Both parents attended the cere-ly at the United Church parsonage. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for he immediate families also Rev. nd Mrs. Taylor, the Misses Carol Hancock of Orono, Joyce ne of Newtonville and Kathy Smith of Colborne served dainty refreshments. The happy couple will reside in Cobourg. A lovely social evening was spent.at the home of the Misses Shirley and Sandra Black Thurs day evening when about 25 girls gathered to honor Miss Gayle Smith prior to her marriage. After ^ames and contests the bride-to-be was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts. Mrs. Black served dainty refreshments. i FRATERNAL VISIT TO | OSHAWA CLINTON RICHARD COYLE Clinton R. Coyle, beloved husband of Marie Redfern, R.R. 4, Colborne passed away suddenly at Belleville . General Hospital early Thursday morning, Novem ber 13th, 1058 in his 64th year. The cause of death was heart failure. He had suffered, from a heart condition for several years. Mr. Coyle was the only son of e late Mr. and Mrs. John Coyle and was born in Colborne March 2nd, 1895. Here he received his early education and later was as d with his father in the apple exporting trade. In the 1st World War he served in Eng-id with the Mechanical transports and on his return resided1 'n Toronto. Moving back to Colborne in 1948 where he operated Springhill Turkey Farm and re he resided until time of his demise. Besides his wife he is survived. • one son, John of Toronto; a daughter. Mrs. H. L. Franklin. (Marion) of Colborne; two sist-s, Mrs. Beatrice Smith and rs. Gordon Hay (Harriott) >th of Colborne. Another sister arjorie (Mrs. Free) pre-deceased im in 1943. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon from the G. B. Funeral Home. North Colborne. Rev. Walter Patterson of Millbrook conduct-service.
