THE Honeymoon KILLERS Colborne United Church, decorated with baskets of white mums tinted with turquoise centres, and pink carnations, was the scene of the wedding when Betty Diana, daughter of Mr., and Mrs. Ross F. Teal, Colborne, became the bride of David Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas I. Unwin, Willowdale May 15. Rev. R.W. French performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Wm. Irvine, Colborne, played the wedding music and Mr. Larry Hall rendered two solos, 'Love Never Faileth' and 'Entreat Me not to Leave Thee'. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an empire line, floor length gown of peau de soie and lace with trailing train decorated with lace. The radiant bride wore a head piece of pearls and sequins with shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of pink roses on a small white bible, and for jewellery wore pearls. Matron of Honor was Mrs. Marilyn Hoskin, sister of the bride, Cobourg, and bridesmaids were Miss Lois Newton friend of the bride, Mrs. Margaret Vaughan, sister of the groom, Toronto, and Miss Bonnie Teal cousin of the bride, Colborne. They wore turquoise blue floor length dresses of lace over taffeta, with bouquets of white mums with tinted turquoise centres. man was John Watson, Willodale, friend of the groom, and ushers were Lynn Hoskin, Cobourg, brother-in-law of the bride, Paul Vaughan, brother-in-law of the groom, and Jim Massie, Toronto, friend of the groom. Receiving guests at the reception in Colborne United Church Hall, the bride's mother wore a dress of pink lace, matching coat and mink stole with matching accessories. Her corsage consisted of small yellow roses. Assisting, was the groom's mother wearing "a turquoise dress of shantung with matching coat and mink stole, with matching accessories. Her corsage consisted of small pink roses. For their honeymoon journey to France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and England, the bride chose a white and blue checked walking suit with matching accessories and a corsage of small pink roses. Upon their return the couple will reside in Willowdale. Guests attended from Toronto, Willowdale, Don Mills, West Hill, Thor-nhill, Maple, Ottawa, Peterborough, Bowmanville, Campbellford and Cobourg. Prior to the wedding, the bride was honored with several showers given by Mrs. H. Smith and Mrs. L. Manning, Toronto; Mrs. V. Shaw, Toronto; Mrs. P. Vaughan, Don Mills; Mrs. Wm. Irvine and Mrs. J.R. Davis, both of Colborne.
