Main St.. Brighton, 475-1933 The Colborne Lions played their opening game against Grafton Aces on June 15. It was a good game, considering this was their first attempt as a team, but were unfortunate in losing to the Aces, 11-6. On June 19, Colborne Tigers defeated the Colborne Bears, 19-17, in a close tussle. The game involved some great hitting by both teams, and a couple of outstanding catches by both Gordon Knapp and Steve Pickham. However, all players deserve credit for a good game showing great team spirit. Colborne Lions whipped the Colborne Bears, 13-11, June 22, with the pitching of Carmen Stirling, and everybody on the teams were on their toes.
