Delbert Mclaughlin May build new road Colborne council is considering the possibility of constructing a road that would go to the bottom of the village dump. Keith Clark pointed out, however, that the slope needed for such a road would be fine for summer but would prove very hazardous and useless under winter driving condit- Damage 'Change' prompts move Change seems to be in the wind everywhere these days. And it is "change" that is prompting Colborne Reeve Delbert Mclaughlin to seek the post of warden of Northumberland County for 1974. "This is a day and age of changes and I hope to make the right changes," Reeve Mclaughlin told The Colborne Citizen. The 60-year-old reeve has been active in municipal government in the area for the last 17 years and has been reeve of Colborne for 12 years. Along with his duties as reeve, Mr. Mclaughlin is also the manger of Boucs Co., Colborne. The company has agreed to give him the time off to perform the duties of warden if he should be successful in landing the Colborne firefighters were called to the lakefront to extinguish a blaze under a trailer.
