Page 10 Stillman'sfinishyear in second place in standings Stillman's Fuels finished oft the year by taking second place in the Trenton and District Ladies Softball League. The team posted a 10 win, five loss and one tie record. The team was coached by Don McFadden and Bill O'Sullivan and have started their first round in the play-off against the Rookies in a best of three series. The team will be attending the closing tournament for the league to be held at the Trenton Community Gardens on Saturday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m. At that time, team awards will be given out along with awards for Most Valuable Player and the Most Improved Players In team statistics, Sonya McFadden lead with 13 home runs, followed by Karen Patterson with 10 and Pat Artkin with seven. Brenda Darrington scored six doubles, Nancy Bahnuik, five. Sonya McFadden scored nine triples, Pat Artkin, five and Karen Patterson four. Brenda Darrington racked up a total of fourteen stolen bases, followed by Karen Patterson with 12. A grand total of 50 hits were garnered by Sonya McFadden, 43 more by Pat Artkin.
