Adams, veteran Liberal organizer, was named as campaign manager for Northumberland's Liberal candidate, Robin Russell. Mr. Adams, retired, formerly of Toronto, managed past federal campaigns for A. J. P. Cameron, M.P. (Liberal, High Park). Mr. Adams has resided near Warkworth for the past two years. Senator Arthur W. Roebuck, Canada's oldest parliamentarian, attended the meeting, and expressed his confidence in the candidate, Robin Russell, and his future in the Liberal party. During the meeting, Senator Roebuck predicted that Roland Michener, at present Canada's High Commissioner to India and former speaker of the House of Commons, was the likely choice of Prime Minister Lester Pearson for Governor-General. Candidate Russell said he was pleased with this announcement for, while Prime Minister of Waterloo University's Model Parliament, he had enjoyed meeting and working with Mr. Michener.
