Description
This hotel was named the Hotel Bristol at one time.

Visitor comment submitted (April 2020):

"Standing in front of the group is my father Captain William J. Troop from Cobourg who was sent to Colborne in 1916 to train a detachment of soldiers for the 139th Infantry Battalion , Canadian Expeditionary Force CEF.

The Battalion was headquartered in Cobourg and the men were recruited in Northumberland County.

The Battalion left for England on September 25,1916."
