Special music by the choir with Mrs Clarence Mutton pianist in the morning and Mrs Jerry Waite in the evening Mrs Douglas Rusaw was guest soloist. Mr.. Mrs Clifford Godwin, Whitby spent the weekend with Mrs Roy Chapman and Ray. Sunday guests of Mr., Mrs Mutton were Rev. Smith, Campbellford, Mrs Stanton Lawrence, Oak Heights and Mr., Mrs Gerald Wai'e and Donna. Miss Debby Trottman spent the weekend with Miss Nancy Schriver, Wooler. Mr., Mrs Glenn Waite, St Catharines spent the weekend with Mr., Mrs Gerald Waits. Mr and Mrs Gary Holmes, Oshawa spent the weekend with Mr., Mrs Van Waite. Mrs Carl Purdy Toronto spent the weekend with Mr., Mrs Mel Dudley. Miss Bowditch returned home after spending 3 weeks with Toronto relatives & friends. Mr., Mrs Averil Mutton, Peterborough spent Saturday with Mr., Mrs Gordon Dunnett, Mrs Stanton Lawrence, Oak Heights was Sunday supper guest with them. Mr., Mrs Stuart Oliver and family spent Sunday with Mr, Mrs Vernon Bray, Niagara Falls and visited Mrs Howiard Oliver in the Hospital. Mr Oliver returned home with them after spending a few days with Mr., Mrs Bray and visiting his wife in the Hospital. Mrs Howard Oliver was visiting Mr., Mrs Bray-when she developed pneumonia We wish her a speedy recovery Mr., Mrs Donald Samis, Oshawa called on Mr., Mrs Kenneth Mutton, Saturday. Mr.. Mrs Victor Scott and Susan Port Credit, spent the weekend with Mr., Mrs Mel Dudley 'The Cedars' Mr., Mrs W W Mutton, Colborne, Mr., Mrs Wayne Mutton, and family, Salem spent Sunday with Mr., Mrs Douglas Mutton and attended Anniversary Service Mr., Mrs Sidney Pearson and family, Salem attended Anniv. service and were dinner guests of Mr., Mrs Walter Pearson. Mr Winston Packard accompanied by his parents, Mr., Mrs Roy Packard attended the funeral Wednesday of the late James Packard at West Guilford Chapel. Interment in Grass Lake Cemetery. Miss Hazel Dunk, Brighton spent the weekend with parents, Mr., Mrs Gerald Dunk. Mr Harry Dunk is a patient in Peterboro Hospital we wish him a speedy recovery. Mrs Dunk is visiting her daughter and son in law, Mr., Mrs Owen Stimers, Peterboro while Mr Dunk is in Hospital. Congratulations to Miss Mary Packard who won a contest in Education Hall, Belleville, Nov. 17. She also won in Kingston on Nov. 24 and will now compete in the Toronto finals early in the New Year. Many CAS. are establishing group homes for these children. There are approximately six childrenn in one of these group hemes with a staff of two or three (house parents) who have had training in 'child care'. Several questions were answered by (the speaker. A delightful lunch was served and a social hour followed and enjoyed. The next meeting will be held Thursday, Dec. 11 in the Colborne Public School. Foster Parents Association The foster parent's association held their November meeting at the Colborne Public School library. The president welcomed the members from Cobourg Castleton, Grafton, Colborne & Brighton. Mr. Douglas Nutter, Assistant Director of the Children's Aid Society, Port Hope, was the guest speaker and his well chosen topic was, 'Rights and Obligations - Yours, Theirs and Ours',. He also outlined various ways the Association and the Society can work as a team, to give the children in their care a brighter outlook on living and a better future.
