A 'reading entitled 'The cattle are lowing* was read, fouowed by ia prayer and the closing Carol. ,Kay Island presided at the piano. Pres. Maude Connors opened the business meeting and read , ifr^m the 'Anglican' why we fsbJould save our stamps, to help 'jthe orphans in Korea. Euchres *were discussed and Lent startling Feb. 10. It was decided to fhave five euchres beginning Jan 8. Cards were signed by (members present for Elaine JStiiHing who fell and fractured ber leg, and Irene Corbyn who •had a birthday that day. Thank •you cards were read from Vi Peebles and Mariorie Armstrong. There was an exchange of gifts with Lil ias Santa/and each member brought a gift fo' the Retarded School at Port Hop». The evening ended with a delicious supper of cream chicken on French pastry cupi<hot mince pies and Christmas cake Eileen thanked Lil Mutton for a very pleasant evening.
