Lord ana Lady Fulford of Shropshire County, England, which is named "Great Ful-fcrd," a beautiful old castle with granq, Les and coat of arms. The picture of it may be seen in a book written by the late C. C. Fulford, Barrister and Solicitor, of Brockville, s rs ago. The picture was given to i by the late Senator Fulford o return home to "Fulford Place, Brockville, after visiting the ai cestral home in England. This book gives the family history dating' back as far as the year 1600. The late Senator Fulford not many years after his return from England was hurt in sn automobile accident near Newtonville, and although not instantly -killed lived but a short time, and his remains now lie in a beautiful marble vault in the cemetery in his home city, Brockville, only a short distance from where the Fulford's first settled along the St. Lawrence River as TJ. E. L. When they sailed from England they first landed in New York harbor, thence to Canada, and floating down the St. Lawrence River little knew the fate that was to befall them, for shortly after landing one of the young lads went down to the river to bring a pail of water and was drowned. The accident was a great shock to the bereaved parents and n sympathy was felt for them. The Senator Fulford carried on a drug business in Brockville for a numiber of years, was also connected with the link Pill Co. and Nasal Balm, and out his business became a multimillion-e. From his vast wealth he made ny bequeaths. One to the city of Brockville was a beautiful home for aged ladies; and only a few weeks = go a handsome club bus was donated n honour of the late Senator Fulford. T'he name of his Brockville Home is "Fulford Pierce." This home along tho St. Lawrence River, where my grandfather, the late Nathaniel Fulford ettled as TJ. E. L. on first coming to Canada, after his death was occupied by his son, the late Alonzo Fulford, nd is now occupied by his son, Mr. WKlliam Fulford. The place is partly iow used as a summer resort ana :es about two miles south of Brock-ille City. Let the Express renew your sub icription to the Ottawa Farm Journal md Toronto papers.
