Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Mutton and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mutton were guests at the marriage of Miss Ann McBride to Mr. Michael Maher in St. Michael's Church, Cobourg, on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dunk, Norwood, visited Mr. and Mrs. John Dtink on Sunday after-Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Mutton, Miss Stephanie Mutton and Mr. Michael Mutton were guests at the marriage of Miss Janet Bennett to Mr. Richard Wright at St. Peter's Rectory, Trenton, on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Mutton visited Mrs. Ted Gillespie in Trenton Memorial. Hospital on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ferguson and family were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert McLaughlin, Colborne. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mutton and Mr. Gordon Mutton visited Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mutton, Dundonald, on Sunday afternoon. Miss Nellie Mutton and Mr. Hugh Mutton visited Mrs. M. Fulford and Mr. Walter Fulford on Sunday afternoon. I Mrs. VanWalsem and children spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. W. W. Mutton. Mesdames G. Samson and Don Bennett called on Mr. George Mutton and Mr. Ted Gillespie on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Purdy and Shirley, Port Hope, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Purdy and family and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dale and girls were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Purdy. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Purdy and family called in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. Bush, Peterborough, visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilce on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Packard, Mrs. R. Pretsell and Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Mutton were tea guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Mutton on Sunday after-Mr. and Mrs. Bill Domm and family, Scarborough, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Mutton. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bennett and Paul were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Mutton. Miss Nellie Mutton attended the annual banquet of the Women Teachers' Federation on Wednesday evening. Mrs. G. Samson, Peterborough, was a Sunday supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Mutton. Mrs. Roy Packard spent Tues-ly with Mrs. Lawrence Mutton. The regular meeting of Shiloh W.A. was held at the home of Miss Nellie Mutton on Wednesday afternoon. BUSH SCHOOL by Mrs. C. Jones Mrs. Harld Quinn and children, Ottawa, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Quinn. Mr. and Mrs. Rex. Visitors over the week-end at Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dingman were Mr. and Mrs. Rex Andrus, North Carolina, U.S.A., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Johnston, Mr. Bob Wattley, all of Peterborough, Mrs. Battersley and children, Port Hojie, Miss Belle Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lindle of Cobourg and Mr. Ron Andrus and friend, Guelph. r. and Mrs. Bruce Sander-cock, Fenella, were Sunday visitors of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex McColl and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McColl and children of Baltimore were Saturday eve-ing callers. CASTLETON by Mrs. F. Warner Mr. and Mrs. O. Brine family of Rochester spent the week-end at Mr. and Mrs. C. Mays. On Saturday night a party was held for Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Naish on their 45th wedding anniversary by their family numbering nearly fifty at the Orange Hall where a lovely luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. R. Moffat of Trenton were Sunday visitors of Mrs. F. Warner. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Atkinson and Carman and Mr. Benson Runnels of Dartford spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. McKague. The tobacco planting is in full swing with the weather conditions improving. EDEN W.A. The Eden W.A. meeting was held on Thursday, May 19th. with a good attendance of eighteen members, three visitors and three children. The meeting opened with quiet music, Theme Hymn, Mary Stewart Collect < Lord's Prayer, in unison. Call to worship was by Mrs. Walter Pearson. Scripture, John 13:1-15 by Mrs. Douglas Mutton. Hymn 270, "Just As I Am", with Mrs. Roy Chapman at the piano the absence Of Mrs. Whittaker. The topic, Humility, was given by Mrs. Walter Pearson followed by prayer. Hymn 325, "Blest are the Pure in Heart", closed the Devotional period. Roll call was exchange of slips, seeds and roots. Treasurer and Sunshine reports were given. Thank you cards were read and verbal thanks given for boxes of fruit and plants received by the sick. Mrs. Douglas Mutton gave a report of the Parsonage Board meeting held at the parsonage. The circuit Garden Party will be held on the church lawn, Dundonald, July 6th. The buy-committee were instructed uy suitable furniture for bedroom at the parsonage. Group Two to be in charge of the missionary meeting to be held in June. A donation of $15.00 was voted to Vocation School. Mrs. Stanley Pearson gave an excellent report of the W.A. Presbytery meeting held Port Hope. 1 Mrs. Ross Wright had charge of the following programme: eading, "In the Good Old Days", Elma Pearson; a vocal duet, "Somebody Did a Golden Deed", by Mrs. Keith Stimers and Mrs. Armstrong was much enjoyed; Mrs. Roy Packard read extracts from letters from a lionary in Japan with whom she corresponds; a sing song of favourite hymns and a reading by Mrs. Lawrence Chapman, "A Big Splurg", brought the programme to a close.' Mrs. Honey closed the meet-ig with the W.A. Benediction. A delicious lunch was served by Group One.
