Roy Taylor, Peter and David of Toronto spent Thanksgiving week end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Rimmer and family. Miss Leonie Rimmer also spent the week end with them. Miss Beverly Lowe left for Vancouver Ooctober 8, by way Mr. Maynard Snowdy, Miss Marilyn Locke and Mrs. Ralph Locke spent the week end visiting, Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes and family of Maynooth, Ontario and while there called on many other old friends around Maynooth, also attended the dance at Sunset Lodge on Lake St. Peter and enjoyed the music of the Donaldson orch- of T.C.A. Jet Airliner for a vacation visiting her grandmother, Mrs. H. Snelgrove of Vancouver City, B.C. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Klein, Toronto spent the week end with her mothe, Mrs. Frank McGlennon. Mr. and Mrs. George Peth-ick and family, Don Mills, were guests of his grandmother Mrs. Frank McGlennon during the week end. Thanksgiving week end were: Mr. and Mrs. Doug Kemp, sons Randy and Kirk of Bowmanville, Mrs. J. Chapman and son Mark Nelson of Belleville, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gillvray, Elaine and George of Smithfield, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rutherford and son Francis Bruce McCaul of Kitchner. All attended the Baptism of Bruce Jr. at Old St. Andrew's Presbyterian Chruch by Rev. Mr. Sayers. Mr. Gordon Rutherford and Mr. Chap-elle joined them later. Five generations ago Bruce Jrs' great-grandfather, Mr. Andrew Rutherford was a precentor in this historic church before the advent of the organ. Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Davis and Cheryl of Whitby spent Saturday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Davis. Mrs. J. R. Davis visited at fh» home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Robertson, Belleville, on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. George Waller and family of Cobourg sper|: Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Waller. Mrs. Earl Thompson presented Mrs. Davidson with a branch of Columbia Berries which she picked in her garden, Tuesday October 18th. Mrs. Davidson called at our office with the branch which had several ripe berries and some green ones. Fred Taylor, son of the Rev. and Mrs. F. W. Taylor, has been transferred from Pickering Canadian Bank of Commerce to Wroxeter. Mrs. Oliver Hughes of Clearwater, Florida, who has spent several weeks with her sister, Mrs. Elmer Calberry, will return to Florida this week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Max Bassant and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Calberry and family, all of Port Perry, attended the Surprise Party for Mr. and Mrs. C. Denny on their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Rath were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rath, also Mr. and Mrs. Wendell McPhee and Arthur Archi-, all of Truro, Nova Scotia. They motored by way of Quebec and Ontario, where they attended their daughter's wedding, now Mrs. Lawrence Finnie, Garden Hill, Ontario. They also called on Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Rath, Brighton, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rhodenhizer of Camp Borden, then to Niagara and back home by way of the U.S. Glad to report Mr. W. S. Dale has returned home from Cobourg General Hospital on Saturday with his daughter, Mrs. Bert Armitage, Toronto, who remained with the Dales for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Brown. Peterborough, visited Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Dale on Sunday. Sorry to report Mr. Elmer Chapin is a patient in Cobourg General Hospital after falling from a ladder while painting at the Bank of Commerce. We wish him a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Teal and family spent Saturday in Peterborough.
