Oke Sympathy of the community extended to the family of Mr. D. Wasylyk who passed away on Sunday after a brief illness. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Anderson, Kingston, spent Sunday at fhe home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Irvine. Mrs. Wm. Irvine returned home with them after spending the past week in Kingston Miss Anita Flanders, Agin-court, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Flanders. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Pomeroy and son, Peter, Castleton, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry May on Sunday. Miss Marion Peebles, Mr. George Harlock, Highland Creek, visited her mother, Mrs. George Peebles on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cracknell, Mrs. Garnet Coffey, Willowdale, Mr. and Mrs. Egan' Maerz, Toronto, spent Saturday at the Cracknell home. Mrs. W. B. Jones and son, Leslie, New Toronto, Mrs. James Jones, Cooksville, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Val Unwin. Mr. and Mrs. Verne Tapley and boys spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. F. Greenwood, Cobourg, who have just moved into their new home. They were presented with a dinette suite from Mrs. Greenwood's family. Mr. Delbert Peebles was in Sharon, near Newmarket, on Thursday of last week in connection with his work. Mr. and Mrs. George Edison and family visited her mother, Mrs. Isobel Puffer, Baltimore, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Cuth-bert and family, Kingston, visited at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Harry Oke, on Sunday. Miss Nancy Gibb, Mr. Grant Thorpe, Toronto, spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim McKenzie. Fire destroyed the home and contents of Mr. and Mrs. Char-contents of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hall, early Tuesday morns' Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wilson, Toronto, spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Irvine. There is time left for donations for Christmas gift for Miss Georgia Cole, Missionary in South Africa. Contribution^ may be left with Mrs. E. Cherry and Mrs. Ivan Flanders as s as possible. The annual turkey supper was held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Sunday School Hall on Wednesday evening, November 2nd. There was a splendid attendance in spite of the weather. Sincere thanks is extended to Mrs. Delbert Peebles, president of the Ladies' Aid and to all who helped to make it a success. CASTLETON by Mrs. F. Warner Mrs. C. Leach of Port Credit spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. L. Naish. Mr. Alfred Clark who resides with his daughter, Mrs. George Mcintosh, celebrated his 92nd birthday on November 9th and is quite smart. Mr. and Mrs. A. Young of Hamilton were week-end visitors of her father, Mr. Andrew Wolfraim. The Community Club will meet on Tuesday, November 15th, at the home of Mrs. Don Gillespie. Centreton Anniversary was on Sunday. There was no service here. Quite a few from here attended the service. Quite a number of our men have gone to the north country hunting this week. A few from here visited Mrs. W. Dickson at Colborne on Saturday night on the occasion of her birthday. 1 Thirty-three enjoyed a bus trip to Toronto on Monday and attended the Ice Capades the the bus was chartered by the Community Club.
