Mrs. Harry Stickle and Mary spent Saturday in Cobourg with Miss Alice Millford. Mr. and Mrs. A. Tyler and Susanne called on Mr. and Mrs. George Fish in Union Neighbourhood on Saturday evening. Mr. Gordon Metcalf left for Hamilton to attend the Vegetable Growers' Convention. Congratulations to Mr. J. W. Watson and Mr. Clinton Robinson who were successful candidates for the South Cramahe School Board. Dundonald Young Adults Activity Club On Tuesday evening, November 22nd, 1960, the Young' Adults' Activity Club met in Dundonald Hall with an attendance of nineteen. The meeting began with quiet music and a short devotional period conducted by Mrs. Winston Packard. A film based on the Christmas story from St. Luke, "And There Were Shepherds", was shown and several Christmas carols were sung throughout. Prayer by Mrs. Packard concluded the Worship Service. Frank Morrison, who welcomed several new members and tlie minutes of the last meeting were read by the Secretary, Beryl Dickens. The prize offered to the person who brought the most new members was won by Danny Pearson. Plans were made for the next meeting to be held on December 6th, 1960, at 8.00 p.m. and the following volunteered: Devotions, Mrs. Stuart Oliver; Recreation, Mrs. Douglas Mutton; Lunch, Mrs. Victor Scott. Work was continued on the white birch log Christmas centrepiece and candle-holders and it was decided to sell these at $1.00 each or $1.75 a set. A delicious lunch was then served bringing an enjoyable evening to a close. MOUNT PLEASANT Mr. and Mrs. Ron Cox, Kirn' and Kevin, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Carr and Fred. Mr. and Mrs. John McKague visited Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Rusk and family of Brighton on Friday. / i Mr. and Mrs. R. Hartford and Anita of Roseneath were Wednesday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce McComb and Lawrence. | Mrs. E. Andrus of Trenton and Mrs. J. Morrison and Lynn of Winnipeg were Friday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Peebles. Mrs. N. Puffer of Orland spent Monday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kemp and Carol. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce McComb were Saturday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Greenley at Warkworth. We are sorry to report Mrs. Moran Grills is ill with 'flu. We wish her a speedy recovery. Farm Forum met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fitchett on Monday evening with a good attendance.
