Mrs. Bill Kemp of Belleville spent a few days with her mother, Mrs. George Tait. Little Gaila Kirkpatrick of Port Hope spent a few days last week with her grandmother, Mrs. Oran Day. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Quinn were in Cleveland visiting her father, Mr. Cavalier, who has been ill. Mr. Earl Darling of Victoria, B.C., visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lome Darling and with them visited Dr. and Mrs. Johnston of Kingston, Mrs. Ivan Darling, Belleville, and Mr. and Mrs. Johnston of Toronto. Mrs. Chas. Quinn of Toronto visited at the home of her son, Cliff Quinn. Mrs. C. McKague and Mrs. H. W Hon were dinner guests of us. W. Nelson on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Kirkpatrick of Port Hope spent the week-end at the home of Mr. :nd Mrs. Oran Day. v Mrs. Russell Baker, Hope, visited her mother, H. Welton on Thursday. Port Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warner, Mr. and Mrs. George Warner and Mrs. Fred Warner spent the week-end in Flint, Michigan, and attended a wedding on Saturday, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Warner. Mr. and Mrs. Oran Day entertained some friends on Saturday evening for cards. The winners for ladies, Mrs. John Day and Miss Laurel Arkils and for the men, Mr. Ted Black and Mr. Wm. Day. On Wednesday of last week a number of ladies attended the Presbyterial at Port Hope. Mrs. Allen is the President. Bruce McGregor and Joe Hill-born attended the Sportsman's Dinner at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto on Thursday. Bruce was Timmy in 1953. A very attractive display of salads and sandwiches was the theme of "The Third Meal" held in the church basement on Wednesday night. Twenty ladies shared the lovely lunch and next and final meeting will be Wednesday afternoon, February 1st, Desserts. DUNDONALD by Mrs. Gordon Honey Service next Sunday. [r. Mr. and Mrs. Herbie Trott-man and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hadwen, Brighton on Sunday, Miss Patsy Hadwen returned to her home with them after spending the week with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Trottman. Mrs. Roy Chapman- of Delta, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Pearson, Campbellford, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Pearson, Clarence and Kathy, Norham visited Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pearson and Mrs. Fred Pearson on Sunday. A large number attended the funeral of the late little Kenneth Oliver in Eden United Church Thursday afternoon. Sympathy of the neighbourhood extended to Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Oliver and all the relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chapman ittended a Court Whist party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oran Day, Castleton on Saturday evening. Bob and Philip spent the evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Day. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dunk and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Owen Stimers in Peterborough. Mrs. George Blyth and family, Colborne spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Packard. Group three held a dinner and quilting last week at the home of Mrs. Frank Chapman, Mrs. George Armstrong and Mrs. Ed. Mulhall, Edville helped finish the quilt Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. John Purdy and family, Milton, were over night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mutton on Saturday. Science Fair The first Science Fair in the Bay of Quinte region will be held Friday, February 17th, at Moira Secondary School. Exhibits have been entered by students in a number of high schools in this area. They range over the whole field of science and include such subjects as the sextant, the telegraph, tree products, a modern arch bridge, cosmic rays. The Fair will be open 1o the public between 3.30-5.00 a:ir! 7.30-9.30. You will be impressed by the quality of the projects assembled by your teen-agers. The best project and its creator will be sent to the Ontario Science Fair to be held in Toronto in the Easter vacation. Exhibits will be assembled on Thursday evening, February 16, in the Staff Room at Moira Secondary School.
