Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lewis and Miss Florence Dewey, Belleville, spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. George Armstrong. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Chapman, Gail and Cheryl, visited Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Webb, Trenton, on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Tripp and Johnny, Peterborough, visited Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hoare and Mrs. Owen Tripp on Sunday and called on Mr. Tripp in the hospital in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. George Armstrong were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Kempster. Belleville. Mr. and Mrs. Lowry, Oshawa, were guests of Mrs. H. Gaynor on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lome McDonald were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sprung, Windsor. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McCul- lough visited Mrs. M. McCul-lough in Cobourg General Hospital on Sunday afternoon. Mr. Ben Gaynor of Toronto spent Sunday with Mrs. H. Gay-Friends of Mrs. James Cochrane were sorry to learn that she is a patient at Cobourg General Hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. (Too late for last week) Mrs. Mulhall, Toronto, spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Mulhall. Mrs. Clara Brown and Allan, Hilton, called on Mr. and Mrs, Owen Tripp on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Turney, Bowmanville, were Saturday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Chapman. | Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Pearson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hoare spent the week-end in Toronto visiting friends and relatives and also took in the Santa Claus parade and the Royal Winter Fair. Quite a number of ladies from this neighbourhood attended the annual tea and bazaar at Shiloh on Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and" Mrs. Dean Chapman and girls were over night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Chapman of Burnhamthorpe on Friday. and Mrs. Alf Peddlesden and Michael. Also called on Mr. and Mrs. Owen Tripp on Saturday afternoon. Recent guests of Mrs. John Cochrane were Mrs. Harold Coffee, Hilton, and Miss Mary Cooper of Toronto. Rev. and Mrs. C. K. Dolby of Campbellford called on Mr. and Mrs. Moran Grills on Friday. We are pleased to report Mr. Dolby is much improved in health. Waite of Hilton was a Sunday supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mutton. Mr. Garnet Mutton accompanied Mr. John Mutton of Colbor-to Quebec last Wednesday and Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Averill Mutton and sons of Peterborough spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dunnett. Mr. and Mrs. Frank McDonald of Salem, Mr. Glenn Waite of St. Catharines, and Mr. Mit-cheson of Vineland called on Mr. and Mrs. Ross Wright on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Dunk of Shiloh had the misfortune to loose their home by fire Wednesday. Miss Nancy Pearson of Peterborough Teachers College is teaching at Morganston this week and staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pearson. Mrs. Roy Chapman, Mrs. Kenneth Mutton and Mrs. Gordon Honey attended the afternoon tea at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Gilman, Hilton Parsonage on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Taft and family of Brighton were Saturday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mutton. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mutton visited Mrs. Austin Maher in Cobourg Hospital on Sunday. Misses Esther and Elizabeth Dunk of Shiloh, spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Winston Packard after their home was burned. Mr. Clarence Andrews of Castleton spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chapman. Mr. and 'Mrs. Lome Jones and family of Oshawa were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Lackey. Mrs. Eric Martin and family, Brighton, are spending some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cooney, helping to care for her mother who is ill. We wish her a speedy recovery.
